The Town of Fairhaven has been made aware of a fraudulent email circulating that appears to come from the Planning Commission regarding a “Settlement of Application Approval Fee” for a property.
This email is NOT legitimate.

- Send payment via wire transfer
- Return a wire receipt by email

- The Town of Fairhaven does NOT request payments via wire transfer through email.
- Official invoices and payment instructions are handled through verified Town channels only.
- Always verify payment requests by contacting the department directly using known, official contact information.
