Mosquitos and Ticks

While the Fairhaven Board of Health continues to work closely with the MDPH and other agencies, locally we are asking residents to check their property for standing water sources, dress properly and use insect repellent. Please check our website, as current information is posted on the Board of Health.
In addition, mosquito spraying requests can be made by contacting Bristol County Mosquito Control at 508-823-5253.

Rodents
- Report any rodent activity to the Board of Health (508) 979-4023 ext. 9121 or boh@fairhaven-ma.gov
- Public property is maintained by the Board of Health in conjunction with a licensed exterminator.
- Private property is the responsibility of the homeowner to maintain and contact a licensed exterminator for assistance. It is best to have all neighbors affected work together to eradicate the rodents.
Helpful Tips:
- Eliminate available food and water from the property that can be used by rodents.
- Keep yard clear of debris that rodents can burrow in
- Keep dumpsters and trash bins secure and clean
- Maintain compost bins and piles
- Seal any holes to keep rodents out
