FAIRHAVEN ALERT: State of Emergency -Blizzard - Tuesday AM UPDATE
TOWNWIDE ANNOUNCEMENTS:
TRAVEL BAN: Travel Ban remains in full effect. The Roads are not safe.
PARKING BAN: Parking Ban will be enforced. This will continue though weekend.
SHELTER/WARMING CENTER: Will open at 10 am today. Location is 30 School St - Hastings Middle School. If you need transportation assistance, please contact the Fairhaven Fire Department at 508-994-1428 x 7201.
EVERSOURCE UPDATE: They are working on powering up Main St near the Fairhaven Housing Authority, Fairhaven Village, and the Royal of Fairhaven. Residents in that area will receive that same benefit. They are also working on the Center of Fairhaven. We do not yet have a timeline due to infrastructure damage.
BPW: The BPW is working hard and is awaiting assistance from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency for additional resources.
FIRE/POLICE: Fully staffed and on the road. 911 is fully operational

All town buildings are closed.
Schools are cancelled today and tomorrow.
Trash and recycling is delayed two days. Monday pick-ups are now on Wednesday. Tuesday Pickups are now on Thursday and so on.
SAFETY:
WATCH FOR DOWNED POWERLINES - They may still be energized
WATCH FOR PLOWS. They need to get speed to clear the snow. Noone should be walking on roadways
