The Fairhaven Board of Health is dedicated to protecting and promoting the health, safety, and well-being of our community. Through education, regulation, and enforcement, the Board works to ensure that public health standards are met and maintained across a wide range of areas.
Our responsibilities include overseeing food safety and sanitation, housing and rental inspections, septic systems, public health nursing, emergency preparedness, mosquito control, and environmental protection. We also enforce state and local health codes, investigate complaints, and respond to public health concerns affecting residents and businesses.
The Board of Health strives to create a healthy environment for all who live, work, and visit Fairhaven. We welcome input from the community and encourage residents to reach out with questions, concerns, or to learn more about our programs and services.
