FAIRHAVEN ALERT: A State of Emergency is now in effect for the Town of Fairhaven. 12 Inches of snow has fallen, and another 6-8" is expected. Winds will remain high until at least pm.
- POWER UPDATE: 33% of the town is without power - Eversource is not responding at this time until the winds dissipate.
- EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE: For any emergencies, call 911. For Shelter needs, please call the Fire Department at 508-994-1428 x 7201.
- PARKING BAN is currently in effect and will be strictly enforced 24/7 until at least the weekend.
- ROAD SAFETY : We urge all residents to refrain from driving to facilitate the efficient clearing of streets by the Board of Public Works. Please be mindful that visibility is reduced, and plow operators may not be able to see pedestrians. There are multiple stranded vehicles, and many side streets remain impassable.
- CLOSURE of TOWN FACILITIES: All town buildings will be closed on Monday and possibly Tuesday, with the exception of essential emergency personnel. Additionally, SCHOOLS will be closed on both Monday and Tuesday.
- RESTORATION TIMELINE: We anticipate that normal conditions within the town may take up to two days to restore.
- SERVICE DELAYS: Please note that trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day.
