DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE EVENT\n Saturday\, October 25\, from 8 AM to 12 PM \nBPW Building\, 5 Arsene Street.  \nProof of Fairhaven residency is required. \n\n\n\nThe Town of Fairhaven Public Works invites residents to safely dispose of household hazardous materials.  \nBring items from your garage\, workshop\, yard\, and home\, including: \n\n\nFrom the garage & workbench: oil-based paints\, stains\, varnishes\, solvents\, glues\, gasoline\, motor oil\, brake fluid\, antifreeze\, pool chemicals\, and more \n\n\nFrom the yard: insecticides\, herbicides\, chemical fertilizers\, poisons\, flea control products \n\n\nFrom the house: batteries\, furniture polish\, oven & drain cleaners\, hobby & art supplies\, fluorescent tubes\, mercury devices\, and photo chemicals \n\n\n \nImportant Guidelines: \n\n\nKeep materials in original containers. \n\n\nTighten all caps and lids. \n\n\nPack items in sturdy boxes\, padded with newspaper. \n\n\nNever mix chemicals. \n\n\nLoad directly into your car and drive straight to Arsene Street. \n\n\n \nDo not bring: empty containers\, commercial or industrial waste\, radioactive/explosive materials\, infectious/biological waste\, prescription meds\, syringes\, fire extinguishers\, asbestos\, or latex paint (latex paint can go in regular trash). \n \nSafely protect your home\, family\, and community by responsibly disposing of hazardous materials!
