RULES FOR CURBSIDE WASTE COLLECTION
2. Only standard containers of no more than 36” in height and 32 gallon capacity will be collected. No wooden barrels, steel drums, fish totes,etc. will be picked up.
3. Rubbish containers or trash bags weighing more than 50 lbs. will NOT be collected.
4. All cardboard boxes must be broken down and tied in bundles not to weigh more than 50 lbs.
5. Plastic bags must be tied closed.
6. Homeowners are allowed 10 bags or containers per week.

Arsene Street (used motor oil can also be returned to where you bought it from) |
Fluorescent light tubes (contain mercury) |

Mercury Containing Items -,thermostats, thermometers, rechargeable batteries, elemental (‘liquid’) mercury |

Certain Hazardous Chemicals - waste paints, stains, solvents, adhesive, waste fuels, poisons, preservatives, photo & pool chemicals, cleaners, aerosols, pesticides and
pharmaceuticals/prescription medicines. |

Non-Acceptable Hazardous Chemicals - Gas cylinders, fireworks, explosives, medicines, syringes, infectious & biological wastes and radioactive wastes. |

Gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, fuel oil, pesticide, cleaning fluid, paint remover, paint, turpentine, varnish, mineral spirits, weed killer, any liquids, any flammable gases, acids |

Oil based paint, tar, thinner not accepted curbside (Dried out latex paint cans will be accepted in your trash, air dry or use sawdust/kitty litter) |
NOTE: The Town may seeking funding for a special paint collection day for eith Spring of ’08 or ’09, check back) |
